Nowadays, people are starting to believe a lot more in the usefulness of the process known as cosmic ordering. It’s like placing a food order at the drive through at a restaurant and getting your food, except you place this order for your desires directly with the universe to get it. There have been plenty of celebrities that speak of this as being responsible for the great success in their lives.

Many people today manage to receive what they think about wanting, but why does this not work for everyone who tries this? Is it possible that the ones that get what they want have some kind of secret knowledge? Is there really such a thing as the cosmic ordering process?

Have you ever complained about another person winning a prize or getting that promotion at work? You have just put in your cosmic order, without knowing it. Being envious of other people’s triumphs just verifies that you think that you will not be able to attain that success, and just brings in the order of poverty and defeats you.

Think of it as being at a fine restaurant for supper. What would you do if you happened to view someone’s luscious meal? Well you would probably just decide to have the same item on the menu for your meal with no anger or envy! You would also be hoping that the other person loved their meal, as much as you wound up loving yours.

If this is how you feel, then you should be happy at the success that other people have. You should think it is grand that other people have had varying degrees of success, with the understanding that you will also be able to obtain yours. But if you let yourself be angry, disappointed or bitter you show that you don’t think that you will ever obtain your success. This is when you place the type of order that only brings you failure.

Religious believers have said for many years that the power of a prayer can simply give you what you desire, now we need to look into this type of belief system to see how it goes with cosmic ordering. It has been discovered that quantum physics is so very like the system of belief, and is helping to prove that the religious doctrine that has existed for years really is true. The flock of spiritual believers say that you can receive many blessings by just praying, but this type of belief needs to be more closely examined to see how it works with placing a cosmic order.

The Blarney Stone is a historical stone, or actually part of the Blarney Castle in Ireland where it was believed that kissing the stone can grant you the gift of gab. Yeah, it seems strange in this day and age, but who are we to question tradition? It’s not like I’m saying that Santa Claus doesn’t exist (OOPS!).

There is so much to know about conversation that anyone, even I, could ever realize. You can go though watching talk shows; radio programs; clubs dedicated to public speaking; ordinary conversations; certain rules still apply when it comes to interaction through words. It may sound tedious, I know, but even though it’s your mouth that’s doing the work, your brain works twice as hard to churn out a lot of things you know. So what better way to start learning to be an effective communicator is to know the very person closest to you: yourself.

1. What you know.
Education is all about learning the basics, but to be an effective speaker is to practice what you’ve learned. My stint as guest at every Toastmasters’ meeting I go to taught me that we all have our limitations, but that doesn’t mean we can’t learn to keep up and share what we know.

2. Listening.
It’s just as important as asking questions. Sometimes listening to the sound of our own voice can teach us to be a little bit confident with ourselves and to say the things we believe in with conviction.

3. Humility
We all make mistakes, and sometimes we tend to slur our words, stutter, and probably mispronounce certain words even though we know what it means, but rarely use it only to impress listeners. So in a group, don’t be afraid to ask if you’re saying the right word properly and if they’re unsure about it then make a joke out of it. I promise you it’ll make everyone laugh and you can get away with it as well.

4. Eye Contact
There’s a lot to say when it comes to directing your attention to your audience with an eye-catching gaze. It’s important that you keep your focus when talking to a large group in a meeting or a gathering, even though he or she may be gorgeous.

5. Kidding around
A little bit of humor can do wonders to lift the tension, or worse boredom when making your speech. That way, you’ll get the attention of the majority of the crowd and they’ll feel that you’re just as approachable, and as human to those who listen.

6. Be like the rest of them
Interaction is all about mingling with other people. You’ll get a lot of ideas, as well as knowing what people make them as they are.

7. Me, Myself, and I
Admit it, there are times you sing to yourself in the shower. I know I do! Listening to the sound of your own voice while you practice your speech in front of a mirror can help correct the stress areas of your pitch. And while you’re at it you can spruce up as well.

8. With a smile
A smile says it all much like eye contact. There’s no point on grimacing or frowning in a meeting or a gathering, unless it’s a wake. You can better express what you’re saying when you smile.

9. A Role Model
There must be at least one or two people in your life you have listened to when they’re at a public gathering or maybe at church. Sure they read their lines, but taking a mental note of how they emphasize what they say can help you once you take center stage.

10. Preparation
Make the best out of preparation rather than just scribbling notes, often in a hurried panic. Some people like to write things down on index cards, while other resort to being a little more silly as they look at their notes written on the palm of their hand (not for clammy hands, please). Just be comfortable with what you know since you enjoy your work.

And that about wraps it up. These suggestions are rather amateurish, but I’ve learned to empower myself when it comes to public or private speaking and it never hurts to be with people to listen how they make conversations and meetings far more enjoyable as well as educational.

Be all you can be, but it’s not always in the Army. I often see myself as somewhat contented with my life the way things are, but of course it’s hard to think of anything else when where are real issues to be discussed.

Still I aspire for something deeper and more meaningful.

So we’re all pelted with problems. Honestly it shouldn’t even bother or even hinder us to becoming all we ought to be. Aspirations as kids should continue to live within us, even though it would be short-lived or as long as we could hold on to the dream. They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks… or can they?

1. What do I really want?
The question of the ages. So many things you want to do with your life and so little time to even go about during the day.

Find something that you are good at can help realize that small step towards improvement. Diligence is the key to know that it is worth it.

2. Should I really change?
Today’s generation has taken another level of redefining ’self’, or at least that’s what the kids are saying. Having an army of teenage nieces and nephews has taught me that there are far worse things that they could have had than acne or maybe even promiscuity. So how does that fit into your lifestyle?

If history has taught us one thing, it’s the life that we have gone through. Try to see if partying Seventies style wouldn’t appeal to the younger generation, but dancing is part of partying. Watch them applaud after showing them how to really dance than break their bones in break-dancing.

3. What’s the bright side in all of this?
With so much is happening around us there seem to be no room for even considering that light at the end of the tunnel. We can still see it as something positive without undergoing so much scrutiny. And if it’s a train at the end of the tunnel, take it for a ride and see what makes the world go round!

4. Am I comfortable with what I’m doing?
There’s always the easy way and the right way when it comes to deciding what goes with which shoes, or purse, shirt and whatnot. It doesn’t take a genius to see yourself as someone unique, or else we’ll all be equally the same in everything we do. Variety brings in very interesting and exciting questions to be experimented.

5. Have I done enough for myself?
Have you, or is there something more you want to do? Discontentment in every aspect can be dangerous in large doses, but in small amounts you’ll be able to see and do stuff you could never imagine doing.

6. Am I happy at where I am today?
It’s an unfair question so let it be an answer! You love being a good and loving mom or dad to your kids, then take it up a notch! Your kids will love you forever. The same goes with everyday life!

7. Am I appealing to the opposite sex?
So maybe I don’t have an answer to that, but that doesn’t mean I can’t try it, though. Whether you shape-up, change the way you wear your clothes or hair, or even your attitude towards people, you should always remember it will always be for your own benefit.

8. How much could I have?
I suppose in this case there is no such things on having things too much or too little, but it’s more on how badly you really need it. I’d like to have lots of money, no denying that, but the question is that how much are you willing to work for it?

9. What motivates me?
What motivates you? It’s an answer you have to find out for yourself. There are so many things that can make everyone happy, but to choose one of the may be the hardest part. It’s not like you can’t have one serving of your favorite food in a buffet and that’s it. Just try it piece by piece.

10. What Really Makes You Tick?
So? What really makes you tick? You can be just about anything you always wanted to be, but to realize that attaining something that may seem very difficult is already giving up before you even start that journey. Always remember, that self-improvement is not just about the physical or philosophical change you have to undergo, but it’s something that you really want.

This is the hope that allows us to continue on with our lives, a purpose by which we explain our existence. The difficulties and darkness of this world does not affect our abundance even though they potentially hide it for a while. Our abundance is how our faith is affirmed. It assures us that there is goodness in our lives despite all the hardships of the world.

Abundance affirms the beauty of lives and reminds us that the ugly parts are only there for a while. Our lives are filled with abundance but we do not access it because of our own desire to not cultivate it. We do not want to accept the gifts of life. We just want the kind of abundance that we believe there is because of what our emotions and thoughts tell us. Creation is a well-spring of abundance and the individual’s quest to look for abundance in life is through our experiences of money, love, power, and health.

We are held back by our selfish desires and we fail to see the abundance in our lives. Our minds are darkened by our presumptions and so we fail to see that the universe wants us to be abundant. Our social participations also inhibit our experience abundance. Governments teach us to have a capitalist view on everything and that supply and demand are the controlling factors of this world. That is why people are indebted, because we want to accumulate as many goods and services as we can.

Citizens experience poor health and living conditions but instead of fighting against these, they accept it and therefore inhibit abundance. They can do the opposite by having an open mind and a welcoming attitude towards abundance. By obtaining information about it, we can receive abundance all the more.

The Bible says “seek and you shall find” and that is what we need to do. To attract abundance, we need to look for it. When we affirm abundance, we have a positive mindset and therefore attract it towards us. Our minds are therefore built to be positive and the effect is positive as well.

Our creativity and intellect should be geared towards a life filled with abundance. Avoid procrastinating and keep yourself healthy. Spend time for yourself because poor health hinders you from living a life of abundance and well-being. Assert yourself and you will get closer to abundance.

Procrastination is your enemy and so is being unhealthy and failing to take time for ourselves. This will hinder us from gaining abundance. Abundance affirmation is a great way to find a balance in our well-being physically, financially, spiritually, and relationally. By maintaining our health and knowing ourselves, and by having a relationship with the universe or with God, we are attracting abundance for ourselves.

Very often in life, we allow life to lead us around instead of us leading ourselves around. Many people today are stuck in jobs that they hate. They get up in the morning dreading to go to work and manage to get through the day. They anxiously await quitting time so they can go home. They covet weekends and holidays.

The average person spends more than half of their waking day at work and works most of their life. We only get one life – yet many of us spend most of it doing something that we hate. Why? Because we need to provide for our basic needs – food, clothing and shelter. In most cases, we are not only responsible for ourselves, but other people as well.

We can avoid spending most of our lives working at a job that we hate by setting career goals. Career goals can be set at any stage in our life. It is best if we set them early, but we should never feel “trapped” in a job that we hate. There is always a way out. The first thing you need to do, however, is know what you want to be when you grow up.

Once you have realized your long term goal, which is what you want to be, then you can work towards achieving that goal through a series of short term goals. If, for example, you work as a secretary but really want to own your own business, you can realize that dream as your ultimate goal. Your short term goals would be as follows:

Figure out what type of business you want to own;

Learn as much as you can about that business including school courses;

Get a part time job in the business that you can work at while keeping your secretary job;

Develop a business plan and save money;

Apply for a business loan

There would be many other smaller goals incorporated into these short term goals as well. You can put a time limit on the ultimate goal, say five years, or you can leave the time limit open, depending upon your type of personality. Most people work better with a deadline, but many are self driven. As long as you continue to work towards your goal, you will eventually get where you want to go.

It is never too late to realize what you want to be when you grow up and begin working your way towards that goal. There have been many people throughout history who have realized a dream late in life. Actor James Cagney started painting when he was retired from films. Actor Jimmy Stewart wrote poems when he was in his 70s, long after retiring. Whether you are young or old, career goals can still allow you lead a more fulfilling life.

How many times have you tried to convey to someone your deepest fears in life? Often the reaction you’ll get won’t be the one you’re looking for or expecting. Instead of a sympathetic shoulder, you often get a confused look and a response like, “It’s mind over matter,” or “You have to get over it.”

Unfortunately, it isn’t always as easy as shutting off your fears like you would turn off the stove. Fears are deeply embedded in our conscious and subconscious mind. After a time, and with repetition, they become established as a formal belief system that you hold.

Overcoming a fear doesn’t necessarily mean it will ever be completely removed from your mind, but you can find ways of preventing the extreme panic and anxiety you often feel when confronted by your fears.

Facing fears is very often the most difficult thing we can attempt. It’s our instinct to avoid those things that worry us or that we fear will do us hurt in some way, even if it’s only an emotional, rather than actual physical harm.

The primary thing you have to do is examine the fear to see if it’s authentic and valid or irrational. That isn’t to say it matters if it is irrational, you’ll still need to find a way to cope with and conquer it. But giving it a realistic examination will help you find a solution to your anxieties.

Rich Presta, the author of several resources and books for overcoming fears such as driving anxiety and the fear of flying gave us the following example…

“When on a plane, you might fear that you’re going to lose control or that the plane will crash. When examining the evidence, you can see that it is virtually a statistic impossibility to be involved in a plane crash and that even if you were, most people survive aviation accidents! This is an example of a fear that seems ration…sure, the plane theoretically COULD crash, but realistically, it’s based in irrationality.”

An rational fear on the other hand, would be the fear of a spouse harming you when there is a history of abuse, this of course is a valid fear and needs to be attended to much differently, such as with help from the police or a divorce attorney.

Either way, you’ll need to take the next step, which is deciding how to deal with your fear responsibly. For irrational fears, you’ll need to discover how to remove the bulk of the anxiety and fear you feel by calming yourself down before you allow panic to take hold.

You might do this by using breathing techniques, forms of self-hypnosis, or even through the use of prescribed anti-anxiety medications.

Do you find yourself feeling overwhelmed by challenges? Do you start thinking the challenge is just bigger than you are? It happens to most of us and it can bring your efforts to better yourself and your life to a grinding halt.

Life’s problems and challenges can absolutely be overwhelming and frustrating at times. They can even be terrifying. But in the end, it’s your perception of the problem or challenge that will ultimately determine the outcome of the battle. When you have the underlying belief that the problem or challenge is bigger than life you start to feel powerless to defeat it.

One way to overcome this is to start out realizing that every problem has a solution. I know it doesn’t always seem that way when you’re feeling overwhelmed, but deep down you know it’s true. I’m not saying that you always recognize the solution right away but I am saying that once you overcome your fear and start thinking rationally you’ll inevitably see that a solution does exist. You may have to do some digging and you may have to have some patience, but it will reveal itself eventually.

Another helpful exercise is to start right out as seeing your problem as a temporary stumbling block. Don’t look at it as an immovable roadblock standing in your way. This helps to diminish the power it can have over you. It becomes an annoyance rather than something you fear you’ll never be able to handle.

And it might be time to take a deeper look at yourself. Italian philosopher Niccolo Machiavelli said, “where the willingness is great, the difficulties cannot be great.” This should serve to remind you that only one thing can stand out as “great” in your mind at a time.

When you see yourself as strong, confident, competent (i.e. “great”) your problems will have to be viewed as small in comparison.

Start looking at yourself as the powerful force who can handle anything that comes your way. Don’t let your problems and challenges take a more powerful position in your thinking. This is what will ultimately determine the scope of your issues. When you believe your problems are overwhelming, they will be. When you look at them as simply situations that you must deal with, you’ll find that solutions come more easily.

Now, of course, I’m not saying that every problem you face will suddenly become insignificant! Undoubtedly you will still face crises in your life that will push you to the limits and cause you to still feel overwhelmed.

But when you find a problem so huge you must let it go. When you stop struggling with it and start accepting it for what is it, you might be surprised. By not spending all of your time obsessing about it and thereby giving it more power over you, you just might find that it sometimes resolves itself. Try remaining open to creative inspiration. You might stumble upon a solution that may not otherwise have revealed itself to you because of your constant worry and stress.

Don’t let yourself get carried away by the overwhelming feeling you get. Instead, look inward and believe that you are in control!

In this world of such huge diversity, what motivates me will probably not be what motivates you. There might be a few shared common motivators but we all have our own unique “button” that, when pushed, is what motivates us.

In order to get and stay motivated you need to identify what your “buttons” or specific words of motivation are. Then it will be easy to keep pushing those buttons and keep your motivation level high.

Start out by looking at your past experiences. What simple things have you done that have made you feel motivated? Maybe it’s reading a inspirational book about a favorite person that really gets you fired up. Or maybe you get your motivation by watching a favorite movie. Or perhaps there’s someone whose accomplishments make you want to follow in their footsteps.

Finding the right words of motivation doesn’t necessarily have to come from positive, uplifting kind of things…do you tend to get INCREDIBLY motivated when money is tight and the bills start stacking up? Is that what it takes to get you up off your rear and motivated to do something? There’s no doubt that money can be a great motivator for many of us!

But maybe your goal has nothing to do with money. Maybe you aspire to make it your mission to accomplish something that will make a real difference in the world, in your community or, on a smaller scale, in your own family.

There can be great motivation in personal satisfaction. There’s often a great emotional high that comes from doing something like going back to school to complete a degree or starting your own business. Growing and developing yourself as a person can offer strong motivation.

There are endless examples, but the important thing is to find your own words of motivation. Find that special thing that will catapult you into action and keep the momentum strong. That one thing that will help keep you focused and filled with a sense of purpose no matter what challenges arise.

Remember, too, that motivation tends to go in cycles. One day you might feel truly inspired after reading a particular book but other days you’ll find that you need to look for other forms of motivation.

If you take the time to look inside you will be able to find just the right source of motivation for you. It may take experimenting with different things, books, music, spending time with friends. There are endless possibilities to keep your motivation strong. Find your own <a href="http://dianaframe.com/SelfTalk"/"target="_blank">personal words of motivation and keep working toward your goals.

All the best,

Self-confidence is a feeling that is garnered through experiences. When a person experiences success, that person will tend to expect to be successful. And that expectation will cause a feeling of confidence.

For example: A man wants to be an extreme fighter, so he gets a manager and takes lessons. His manager will not put him into a competition until he has built up proficient fighting skills. And even then, the manager will only put him up against an opponent that he knows his fighter can pound. When his fighter beats the contender, he is successful, and starts to gain a feeling of confidence in his abilities.

With each combat, the manager puts his fighter up against an opponent who is a slightly better contender then the last, but not good enough to beat his man. By the end of the third fight, the young contender begins to expect to win his fourth, and so his confidence continues to expand. This series of events continues to repeat itself. And as long as the contender wins, his expectations of success, and his feelings of self-confidence will continue to expand.

If a person who has a long history of success and feelings of self-confidence does fail, they still tend to expect success the next time out. Conversely, when a person who is weak in the self-confidence department fails, they tend to lose confidence, and begin to expect failure, which can become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Having self-confidence doesn’t mean that individuals will be successful at everything. People, who have true self-confidence, usually have expectations that are down-to-earth. Even when some of their expectations are not met, they continue to be positive and to accept themselves.

People who are not self-confident, tend to rely disproportionately on the approval of others in order to feel self-esteem. They refrain from taking risks for fear of failure. They often belittle themselves and tend to discount or ignore compliments that they do receive.

On the other side of the coin, secure people will risk the disapproval of other people because they generally trust their own prowess. They tend to accept. A lack of self-confidence is often the result of focusing completely on the ridiculous expectancies of other people, especially those of friends and parents. The affect of peers can be more powerful than those of parents in shaping the feelings about one’s self.

Beliefs That Continue to Influence Self-Confidence

In response to external influences, people develop assumptions; some of these are good and some are not. Several assumptions that can interfere with self-confidence and alternative ways of thinking are:

ASSUMPTION: I always have to be successful at every challenge I undertake. This assumption is totally unrealistic. In life, each person has his strengths and his weaknesses. While it’s important to learn to do the best that one can, it’s more important to learn to accept the self as being human, and fallible. Feel good about what you are good at, and accept the fact that no one knows everything nor are they an expert at everything.

ASSUMPTION: I must be perfect, and loved by everyone, and satisfy everyone. Again, this assumption is totally unrealistic. All human beings are less than perfect. It’s better to develop personal standards and values that are not completely dependent on the approval of others.

ASSUMPTION: Everything that happened to me in the past remains in control of my feelings and behaviors in the present.

ALTERNATIVE: While it is true that your confidence was especially subject to external influences when you were a very young child, as you mature, you can gain knowledge, understanding and a new point of view on what those influences have been. In doing so, you can choose which influences you will continue to allow to have an effect on your life. You don’t have to be helpless because of past events. HERE ARE SOME STRATEGIES FOR SELF-CONFIDENCE HELP:

Emphasize Your Strengths. Bestow upon yourself credit for everything you can do. And give yourself credit for every new adventure that you are willing to test. Take risks. Adopt the perspective of: I never fail, because there are NO failures. However, sometimes I find out what does not work, and once I’ve learned what doesn’t work in a given situation, I can attempt something else.

Use Self-Talk: Use an inner dialog with yourself and counter harmful assumptions. Then, tell yourself to stop. Substitute more reasonable assumptions. For example, when you catch yourself expecting perfection, remind yourself that no one can do everything perfectly, and that it’s only possible to do things to the best of your ability. This allows you to accept yourself while still working towards improvement.

Make mental movies: Visualize yourself in the various scenarios that you currently lack confidence in. But see yourself behaving like a person who has tremendous self-confidence would. There are many powerful NLP and Hypnosis approaches that you can use to create a monumental amount of self-confidence from within your subconscious mind. There are even NLP techniques that will let you take confidence that you do have in areas of your life, and then transplant that confidence to areas of your life that are lacking confidence!

Self-Evaluate: Learn to adjudge yourself as an individual. Avoid the continual sense of chaos that comes from relying on what other people think.

Have you made excuses to avoid taking action on something you wanted to do? It’s amazing how incredibly valid your excuses can seem at times. You can often end up believing that they are the absolute truth. In reality, excuses can not only cause you to miss out on opportunities, they have the power to destroy your life if you let them.

By continuously talking yourself out of doing things you create a very powerful downward spiral of decreased opportunities, dwindling abundance and you diminish your self-respect. You’re left with an empty shell of the person you could be. If you find yourself always making excuses not to work the effects will snowball. You won’t make money, your business won’t become successful or you won’t advance in your career. The depression that follows can be devastating.

The truth is that excuses are for weak-willed people who simply have no desire or will to grow and develop themselves. You have to avoid letting excuses destroy your life! When you constantly make excuses you are only talking yourself out of creating the life you truly want.

Do you want to live your life like that or would you prefer to be someone who laughs in the face of limitations and who faces your fears head on?

Are you guilty of uttering these phrases:

“I can’t…” “I don’t have the talent…” “I wouldn’t be strong enough…” “I’m too old (tired, busy, fat, )…” “I don’t have enough time…” I don’t have the money…” “I’m not smart enough…” “I’m not good at…” “It would be too hard…”

These are excuses, plain and simple.

The sad part is that even if an excuse is, in part, true — maybe you don’t have enough money to go back to school or start a business — by offering up the excuse you prevent yourself from even TRYING to work toward the goal. Just because you don’t have the money, or whatever, yet doesn’t mean you won’t have it eventually.

Fortunately, if you refuse to believe in excuses they suddenly cease to be true!

Start taking a good hard look at the excuses you make. Are they really true or is it just easier to offer up an excuse than to actually work toward a goal? Don’t let yourself be held hostage by your excuses. You formed them, you can dismantle them too.

By knocking down your excuses not to work toward your goals you will start developing greater strength. Your entire life will begin to shift and change in miraculous ways.
